The Torque Converter must have at least one quart of the correct ATF for the application added to it before installation. This can sometimes take a little while so be patient. Did you refill it after removal from the Geo Metro, you stated it was leaking, is it cracked?
no we had put to much atf into Torque Converter. as it was spinning over the atf was spinning out all the excess
why are you using a auto transmission? you will lose a lot of power just to spin up the torque converter and the trans will probably not know what gear to be in
the car was free and i am good with my hands if need be i’ll convert the car to standard.the power loss is expected to be no more than 10-20% i can live with that and we have all ready tested the transmission and it works.
Engine RPM… The computer uses this information to control Wide Open Throttle (WOT) shift points. For this he needs a tachometer so to get the speed in rpm of the vehicle. If his present shifter does not have provisions for a Park/Neutral safety switch and Reverse light switch, he may choose to utilize the switches built onto his transmission shift lever if so equipped. Analog (mechanical) speedometers use the VSS signal to drive a standard style speedometer cable. He needs a Repair Manual.
well i have a garmin gps and also the speedometer was working. you can listen to the engine whine and shift the transmission by ear. the car did better than i was expecting. we are now onto a mazda truck and its going to get a warp 9. the D&D motor will go into a better car than the geo it was junk anyway. maybe an acura or etc….
